We are a welcoming and inclusive Methodist community in the heart of Cawthorne village, part of the Denby Dale & Clayton West Circuit, where all people are valued and celebrated as uniquely made in the image of God. Following Jesus' example of radical love and hospitality, we embrace diversity in all its forms and are proud to affirm and include people of every background, family structure, and identity.

Worship – Increasing awareness of God's presence and celebrating God's love through joyful worship that welcomes people of all ages and stages of faith, from our youngest members in school assemblies to our eldest in fellowship gatherings.

Learning and Caring – Helping people grow and learn as Christians through mutual support and care. We nurture faith across all generations, creating spaces where questions are welcomed, and everyone can grow as disciples of Jesus Christ in community with our circuit churches and ecumenical partners.

Service – Being good neighbours to people in need in Cawthorne and beyond. We open our doors as a vibrant community hub, hosting local groups, supporting charities through our coffee club, and working alongside our ecumenical partners to serve the whole village.

Evangelism – Bearing witness to the way of Jesus through lives of love, justice, and service. We seek to be a community whose welcome, compassion, and commitment to positive change draws others to explore faith. We offer an open invitation to all who are searching for meaning, belonging, or a deeper relationship with God, trusting that authentic Christian community speaks more powerfully than words alone.

Care for God's Creation – As an Eco Church registered with A Rocha, we recognise our sacred responsibility to care for the earth God has entrusted to us. We are committed to becoming a net-zero carbon community, modelling sustainable practices, and inspiring others to address the climate emergency for current and future generations.

Work for Justice – Challenging injustice and championing dignity for all people, standing with the marginalised, and acting as agents of positive change in our community and the wider world.

Together in Connexion – We treasure our place within the Methodist connexion, sharing ministry with our circuit churches and working ecumenically with Christian communities across Cawthorne. We believe that our witness is strengthened when we work together, drawing on our shared heritage and common calling.
